Most people think I am in my late fifties because of appearance, energy level, intellect, etc. My ex is 55, and my Grandmother got married for the second time at 84, outlived him, and had boyfriends almost all the way to her expiry at age 101. And she smoked, drank, and ate pork dripping! Good genes! I cannot tell you if you will be attracted to me, nor me to you. I believe we humans have no control over who we are genuinely attracted to; we don't consciously choose who we feel drawn to. Sure, there may be an initial physical attraction, but that is only a part of the package. When there is a real mutual attraction, there will be fireworks – good fireworks. And we can't try to convince someone to feel this powerful emotion. It is either there, or it is not. We are all on this site as “Emperors without clothes” – exposing our attributes (trying to keep it clean here) for all the world to see. Will we be attracted to each other? I have no idea. But we, you and me, are both hoping to find “the one”. We can only find out if we give each other a chance - in person.

I think that a relationship is work in progress. It takes two committed people to grow with it and make it work.I also believe that shared interests are essential in building a relationship. However, both partners should also bring their individuality into the relationship to enrich it.Being able to come home after work and have a nice conversation with someone special is something that has been missing in my life for a long time. My travels have enriched me so much. I love going to museums and art galleries and learning about history and culture through art and music. I'm a movie buff so I do not limit my options to chick flicks. I can be so engaged in movies with witty comedy as I am in drama, action, and suspense thrillers. I like watching critically-acclaimed foreign films. Music calms me when I'm stressed, it brings back fond memories when I'm nostalgic, and it invigorates me at the beginning of the day. My appreciation for music stems from my childhood so you can say that my range of favorites can be quite broad and cutting across generations. I don't think I can ever appreciate rap. It does not appeal to my sensibilities. Please pardon the language but I think it's crap. It hardly has any melody and most, if not all, use vulgar language. I also believe that shared interests are essential in building a relationship. However, both partners should also bring their individuality into the relationship to enrich it. I try to go to the gym but it is so easy to find something else more "pressing" and more compelling to do. One thing that I do religiously is walk. I walk one hour a day, rain or shine. I had a knee injury when I was young so the doctors asked me to stay away from active sports. I love to dance and I dance well. I am adventurous with food and has tried and liked various cuisines in my travels. My favorites present quite a variety .... Mexican, Italian, Cajun, Vietnamese, Thai, Spanish. I am an avid salad eater. I can't live without nuts, honey, lemon, yoghurt, cranberry, and oats. I make my own muesli.
