I think that a relationship is work in progress. It takes two committed people to grow with it and make it work.I also believe that shared interests are essential in building a relationship. My travels have enriched me so much. I love going to museums and art galleries and learning about history and culture through art and music. I'm a movie buff so I do not limit my options to chick flicks. I can be so engaged in movies with witty comedy as I am in drama, action, and suspense thrillers. I like watching critically-acclaimed foreign films. Music calms me when I'm stressed, it brings back fond memories when I'm nostalgic, and it invigorates me at the beginning of the day. My appreciation for music stems from my childhood so you can say that my range of favorites can be quite broad and cutting across generations. I don't think I can ever appreciate rap. It does not appeal to my sensibilities. Please pardon the language but I think it's crap. It hardly has any melody and most, if not all, use vulgar language. I also believe that shared interests are essential in building a relationship. However, both partners should also bring their individuality into the relationship to enrich it. I try to go to the gym but it is so easy to find something else more "pressing" and more compelling to do. One thing that I do religiously is walk. I walk one hour a day, rain or shine. I had a knee injury when I was young so the doctors asked me to stay away from active sports. I love to dance and I dance well. I am adventurous with food and has tried and liked various cuisines in my travels. My favorites present quite a variety .... Mexican, Italian, Cajun, Vietnamese, Thai, Spanish. I am an avid salad eater. I can't live without nuts, honey, lemon, yoghurt, cranberry, and oats. I make my own muesli.
