Retired wildlife officer (game warden), author, adventurer, great cook, intelligent and funny. I am very real and can easily be found on the internet to verify who I am. I have never been married, no children, and live alone. I have not been in a relationship for a long time, and it’s not because I was in prison or stranded on a deserted island. My story is very unusual, and one that I would relive if necessary. I took care of my elderly mother for 20 years before she passed away in October 2024 at the age of 96. Telling you that I took care of her with no help from other family members would sound like sour grapes. So, I’ll just chalk it up to a fact of life. I live in a house and in an area I love, surrounded by the Maine woods and plenty of woodland creatures. I’m only about a half hour from the Atlantic Ocean and as much fresh lobster as you can eat! Oh, but I just learned some bad news, so in the spirit of coming clean, here it is: I was recently diagnosed with Lyme disease, and it is not going to be an easy road to recovery. For those who don’t know what Lyme disease is, I was bitten by a tick some time ago that was bearing a nasty strain of bacteria. Ticks are like mosquitoes and lamprey eels, in that they don’t seem to serve any useful purpose! I’ll be fine, but it’ll definitely take some time. PS, I don’t know how many of you have experienced online stalking? In my case, I’ve had somebody stalking me around the Internet, especially at these dating sites, for more than three years, and no matter where I am, she finds me. Well, now she’s found me here, too. She has single-handedly and systematically done everything in her power to keep me from finding a wife and lover. I don’t know who she is or where she’s from. But now that she’s found me, I’m right back to not knowing who’s who. Some people just can’t mind their own damn business.
